Question:  Tell us about a book you can read again and again without getting bored – what is it that speaks to you?

Answer:  I’m a voracious reader in general.  I’ve read literally thousands of books in my lifetime so I simply cannot just pick one and be done with it.  There are many books that I enjoy reading over and over again simply because that’s what I do.  However at this point in my life, there is one book that I continue to come back to and it’s titled “The 4 Hour Work Week”.

The title is hyperbole, I understand that, however much of the book is simply about a way to look at running your business and your life in a manner that is foreign to some.  It’s not a ‘get rich quick’ book either, just a book if ideas.  People looking for step by step instructions on how to get through life will be disappointed. Those who read it with an eye toward adapting what they can to their current situation or to improving some aspect of their life should find it useful.

I think that the most important lesson for me was that Life is not static.  You can actively change your life at ANY time.  If you don’t like where you are, do something different.  Behave differently, think differently.  You’re not ‘stuck’ in the life that you have because the power to change it for the better is within you.

I heartily recommend this book for anyone looking to shake their lives up a bit.  It inspires me in many ways.  It’s not the BEST book that I’ve ever read in my life and it’s not the most universally regarded piece of literature and some people simply will not like it because they will take it as hacking the system but if you’re interested in ideas for restructuring your outlook on life and for strategies to effectively manage your time and resources then this book WILL impact your life.
